Bob designed the first satellite interconnection system for NPR, supervised construction of PBS’s uplink facility, and implemented Digital Audio for Television (DATE) at PBS.  PBS received a Technical Emmy for the first satellite interconnection system by a TV network.  Bob also developed the first full-bandwidth OEM auto entertainment systems for Philco-Ford, and authored direct broadcast satellite standards that were adopted by the FCC. Having joined AES while attending Drexel University, Bob has been an active AES member for many years and a past Atlanta Section Treasurer and current Committee Member.
